The Federation of Jo-pol is a large, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, cynical population of 20 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Education and Healthcare are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 45%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales industry, followed by Soda Sales and Woodchip Exports.
Punitive tariffs protect local industry, voting is compulsory, it is a crime to offend someone's religious beliefs, and prime commercial land is being swamped with archaeological teams. Crime is totally unknown. Jo-pol's national animal is the tiger and its currency is the kollar.
Jo-pol is ranked 905th in the region and 22,182nd in the world for Largest Welfare Programs (per capita). |
However the region my country is located in sucks, I have to make due with what I have. The game offers me an option to move to a different region but I chose not to make a move yet. The regoin my country is located is surrounded by other liberal nations. There are some conservatvies nations also in my region but they tend to be dictorships nations.
As you can see I am a member of the United nations for the game. The United nations I feel is controlled by conservatives, I say conservatives because after reading the debate fourm alot of users said education is not for everyone. The united nations just had a vote. and vote went like this.
The United Nations
The UN is the world's governing body. Membership is voluntary, but all member nations must abide by UN rules. [More Information]

RECALLING "Free Education" implemented August 19, 2003,
ADMITTING "Education For All" as redundant due to the implementation of "Free Education",
DECLARING itself against waste and bureaucracy:
REPEALS "Education For All", originally implemented January 8, 2003.

Jo-pol's position: AGAINST [Vote For] [Withdraw Vote] |
The game is located on the net for free. All you have to do is go nationstates.net and join. Overall the most of countries appear to be liberal, However there are regions in the world that are just conservatives. There governments tend to be courrupt and the tax rate on there citzens is 100%.
