Recently I attended a debate between a retired major in the U.S. Army, who is againist the iraq war and a representive from homeland security who is for the iraq war. They discussed the iraq and afgan war.  Which of the two was more important.  The major said that the white house did not put enough troops in afgan and stablize afgan.  The number of troops in iraq should have been used to afgan war.  She said the source of the 9/11 attacks is from afgan not iraq.  The white house wanted iraq not afgan.  At the end of debate the both sides allowed the attendees to question them.  This one retired airforce guy ask this question, that I found very interesting.  He said why should the U.S. put all of the iraq troops 140,000 in the afgan theater.  Why not use the north fighters to fight the afgan guys.  Why should we have our troops be bogged down in afgan when they can go and fight the war in iraq.  The major responded first of all the iraq is not the central part war in the war on terror.  The iraqs did not send iraqs to attack America.  The retired airforce said that the U.S. did good in paying the northern guys to fight the taliban and al-qeda guys.  The major responded that yes the northern guys defeated the taliban but it is these northern guys who are now making trouble in the rest of afgan.  The retired airforce guy then said yea use them let the northern guys get killed and not our soliders.  The major responded if the afgan theather had the same amount of troops in iraq we would'nt have a problem with the northern guys now. But I am going to focus on the retired airforce guy comments.  He wanted other people ( non- ameican citzens ) to do all the dirty fighting and di e instead of the American soliders. This is the type of mental state that gets America in trouble.  Some people in America want other people to do the dirty work and American do the easy work, but yet America takes full credit for all of the work.

It made me think that if American uses other guys to fight the battles in afgan and al-qeda guys then the world must think that america is a bunch of cowards.  They al-qeda guys are the ones who attacked America.  The al-qeda guys are hiding out in afgan mountains.  But American uses northern guys to attack the al-qeda guys. 

I personally equate this move or tactic as cowardice if some guy attacks your girlfriend or wife and you as the boyfriend or husband don't go and attack the guy who attacked your girlfriend or wife. But instead you as the boyfriend or husband go out and ask your girlfriend or wife, ex-boyfriend, ex-husband to fight the attacker and pay him to do so.  What kind of message does that send to your girlfriend or wife.  She going to think you are a coward and you are incapble of protecting her.   

Maybe it was me mis-interpeting the retired airforce guys comments.  But I don't see how he can be proud of the defeat of the tailban and al-qeda in afgan by using the northern guys to do the dirty work.  For me it just sends the wrong message to world and al-qeda.  When America uses another countries soliders to do the drity work for Amercia its makes the Americans look afriad to get dirty or actually do some work instead paying people to do the dirty work.   America historically has exploted the afraican American at the time they were known as slaves for economic gain.  American has also betryed the native Americans for land with gold on it breaking treaties with the native Americans.  The world I think knows that American has a history of exploting people for its own gain.  And the comment by the retired airforce guys only reinforces people that particular perception about America. 

Today in philosophy a fellow student was listening to right wing radio.  According to the student some women was was telling the listeners about the swift boat controversy.  She claims that personal testimony by the swift boats for truth people is better then documented facts proving Kerry earned his medals.  In philosphy class the instructor emphizes that personal testimony is not all true.  Becuase we as humens lie.  That statement by the women made me think that the right wing radio listeners are all ingnorant.  It also made me want to get into car sales. Becuase if there are people out there like this who think that personal testimony is better then documented facts I could make millions telling them lies. I could tell them that the DOT documented facts the suvs roll over often in a high speed turn is false. My personal testimony as the car sales person is better.  My personal testimony that an suv will not roll over in a high speed turn is better then the DOT documented safety standards.  I have to come to the conclusion that America is one part intelligent people and one part ingnorant people.  I personally think that it is the ingnorant people who think this is good them becuse everyone else says so, don't know that if may actually be bad for them, but they really don't know that it is bad for them.  Like in the 1970's when the department health said that smoking does not contribute to death early.  I wonder why the department of health will tell the people that.  Maybe it was the lobbist who represent the tobaco industry who did not want to lose millions of dollars if people started to stop smoking or maybe it was the personal testimony by the tobaco industry representives who told congress that smoking does not have any negitive impacts on your life.  Because personal testimony is better then document facts.  Right wing radio host are the leaders of the ingnorant people.  I look at it this way. The right wing leaders (the bussiness owners, etc )&n bsp;own the land.  The right wing radio host are the cattle ranchers and the right wings leaders own the land the cattle grazes on, and the cattle of course is the people. The cattle makes money for the bussiness owners but the owners need people ( right wing radio host ) to direct the cattle ( people)  to slaughter house ( bussiness )

What is a hurricane gusty wind, hard rain, thunder showers.  I have been through two hurricanes. I did not run away to another state.  I could not run, all you have to do is ride out the storm.  If you prepare yourself properly you will survive the aftermath.  But these people are leaving florida becuase of what fear.  These people think that hurricanes are horrible no one survives the hurricane.  People survive hurricanes like people survive tornados or earthquakes.  These people who are fleeing are a bunch of cowards.  I would hate to have fight along side me on a battlefield,  they might run and hide when the battle starts to get intense.  Those people should of stayed in florida ride out the storm and learn about courage instead of giving into fear.

I don't see how lingle can claim that bush has impoved life in Hawaii,  When she has cut health care for the people of Hawaii.  Linda Lingle has also cut the libarary budget in the entire state of Hawaii.  Why has she done this becuase lack of federal funds promised by Bush.  I don't see how linda lingle can say these pro things about bush. When she her self has done this to Hawaii health care.  Does she not that she lives on an island that is 2500 miles away from california.  It should not be her self interest not to have and the majority of local poor hawaiians with nothing to lose mad her and the repulbicans.  Its not like you can drive to another state if a uprising was occur in Hawaii.

Recently I have been phone calls telling me that I have pre-approved for a Bank of Delaware credit card.  The odd part I don't have a Bank of Delaware account,  I don't live in or near Delaware.  In fact my residence could be at far 20,000 miles away from the state of Delaware.  The bank of Delaware calls daily asking to speak with me.  I have told them in the past that I am not interested in the  Bank of Delaware credit card.  But the banks continues to call everyday in the morning.  So everyday I tell them that I am not home, but they continue to call.  The bank of Delawares reps ask if there is another number where they can get a hold of me.  I tell them sure call this number 596-7873.  This is the number for the local surf report.  If the bank won't take no for answer and continue to be aggressive I going to have some fun with their aggressive marketing.  If the bank won't take no for an answer I have decided that they next time the bank calls, I am going to give them a phone number with a foreign countries area code.  I will attempt to increase there operating costs by increasing the bank of Delaware pho ne bill. Hopefully by giving the bank of Delaware the run around they will leave me alone.  I don't want to change my home phone number to get them to stop calling. Then the bank would win.  The bank would have caused so much inconvenience for me, that I would have to do that.  I don't want go out with a fight.  So my little rebellion aginist the bank of Delaware aggressive marketing hopefully may have some kind of impact on there operating budget.
