| GOP wants to ban gay marriage, Now its a discussion |
| 08.30.04 (11:03 pm) [edit] |
Early in the year of 2004 the GOP wanted to ban outlaw, make illegal gay marriage. "President Bush has come out in favor of amending the United States Constitution to make marriage legally defined as only between one man and one woman. This would ban gay and lesbian couples from marrying and quite possibly could do away with civil unions and partner benefits." http://lesbianlife.about.com/cs/wedding/a/Amendmen t.htm" title="http://lesbianlife.about.com/cs/wedding/a/Amendmen t.htm" target="_blank"http://lesbianlife.about.com/... Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution or the constitution of any state, nor state or federal law, shall be construed to require that marital status or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon unmarried couples or groups.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Efforts to pass a constitutional amendment that would effectively ban same-sex marriage failed in the Senate Wednesday afternoon, but supporters vowed to keep fighting for the measure. The White House released a statement from President Bush in which he said he was "disappointed" that the amendment was "temporarily blocked" in the Senate and urged the House to take up the matter.http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/07/1 4/samesex.marriage/" title="http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/07/1 4/samesex.marriage/" target="_blank"http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPO...
Now all of a sudden before the GOP convention starts the GOP comes out with Cheney remarks on gay marriage " Mr Cheney was addressing a campaign audience in Iowa that included his daughter, Mary, who is openly lesbian. He said the issue of legalizing gay unions should be settled by individual states rather than by Washington." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3596732.stm" title="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3596732.stm" target="_blank"http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/am... Then we have Laura Bush saying this "It's something people should talk about and debate," Mrs. Bush said. She said Congress could be an appropriate place for that debate to begin, but she refused to say that she supported passage of the proposed constitutional amendment that her husband endorsed earlier this year" http://www.boston.com/news/specials/gay_mar riage/articles/2004/05/20 /mrs_bush_welcomes_gay_is sues_debate/" title="http://www.boston.com/news/specials/gay_mar riage/articles/2004/05/20 /mrs_bush_welcomes_gay_is sues_debate/" target="_blank"http://www.boston.com/news/sp...
Early this year the GOP was introduceing all of these bills on banning gay marriage. Now all of sudden is GOP becomeing more moderate on this gay marriage issue? In the begining of year the GOP were hawks on the gay marriage issue. Now they GOP is moderates. What happen to the true extremist face of the GOP, Why are they trying to be moderates?
I wrote about this gay marriage issue in an earlier blog. Discussing my reasons if gay marriage was really a threat to traditional marriage? Here is the link http://www.tblog.com/template...%20marriage

| Mcdonalds charging for hot mustard |
| 08.30.04 (10:18 pm) [edit] |
This afternoon I went to Mc Donalds for lunch. I drove up to the drive thru and ordered a Mc Chicken sandwich with no lettuce and fries no salt along with a fruit punch, and hot mustard sauce. My total bill was $3.76. When I went to pay window, I gave the employee a 5 dollar bill. Then the employee told me that she was going to charge .31 cents for the hot mustard sauce. I asked her why are they, all of a sudden charging for hot mustard and why is it so expesive. They told me that since I did not order any mc nuggets they have to charge me. I told the employee to cancel my order and I want my five dollar bill back. I was not going to pay $4.02 for a fast food meal. When I can spend $5.00 dollars for mini plate lunch which would fill my stomach more then the fast food meal would. The employee talked with another employee and they decide to give me the hot mustard sauce for free. I guess Mc Donalds did not to lose my bussiness. But from now on when go to Mc Donalds I will ask if they will charge me for hot mustard sauce. If they say yes I will tell them to cancel my order. I guess this is my little rage againist the capitalistic machine. Why should I pay $4.02 for a fast food meal? When for a dollar more I can get a plate lunch, with rice and chicken and salad. I think if more people do this to Mc Donalds they will stop chargeing for sauce becuase who wants to make a meal for a customer? Then have the customer walk away for the charging the customer .31 cents more for a sauce that does not even worth .31 cents. Bussiness wise it not a good decesion for the company to have customers walking away over such a small amount of money. & nbsp;

Make the guy feel like a king, I myself find her very attractive, if I was a few years younger I would try and purse her also. But unforunatly I am not. If I knew that i was going to meet this girl later on in my life. I wish I could have been born later so then I could try and purse her also. But since I am older then her that is out of the question. I don't want to labal as a cradle robber. But anyways I await hearing how many guys she has turned down since she is single. I want to hear about what kind of stupid things guys will do for her just to date her.

| 08.29.04 (3:31 am) [edit] |
Tonight I was supposed to watch a movie with 2 companions. The movie we were going to watch was not at the theaters we went to. The movie was playing at a theater on the other side of the mountain, for the three of us to drive through the mountain would'nt have been a good idea. Becuase the moive was scheduled to start at 8:20 p.m. and the time was allready 8:15 p.m. so going to that movie was out of the question. The three of us ended up going to dole theaters to find the movie. The movie was not found at dole theaters also. So we ended going to restaurant row to watch a cheap movie. But most of the movies at restaurant row were allready sold out. But at restaurant row I ran into co-worker he seen me with the one of the girls he used to work with. I really did'nt want him to see me with her becuase I did'nt want un-wanted thoughts to occur at work. My employer the girl to guy ratio is about 8 guys for 1 girl. The girl that he work with is a tom-boy My-sel f and my 2 companions left restaurant row, I decided to take them to a mountin top look out. My 2 companions never been there in there entire lives. So it was a good experince for them. When we got to the general location I forgot what streets to take. We ended up driveing down dead end streets. Eventually I remember what streets to take. We started to go up the mountain and, the temper ature started to drop and it got quite cool around 70 degrees. The road was dark and you could the smell the a sweetness from all of the flowers in the mountains, it was as if we were in a huge outdoor flowershop. I told one of my companions if she was to look into forest she might be able so see a menehune ( http://www.mythicalrealm.com/creatures/menehune.html" title="http://www.mythicalrealm.com/creatures/menehune.html" target="_blank"http://www.mythicalrealm.com/... ) She laughed and said if she seen and caught one we she be granted wishes like the leprechauns. I told her I don't know if the menehune will grant you wishes. Once we got to the look out point. I showed my 2 companions the city skyline with the ocean in the background. There was a full moon out but also alot of clouds. So seeing the moon reflection off the ocean water did not happen. My 2 companions said it was a nice view of the city lights. The scene would have been alot better if the moon's reflection was seen off the ocean surface. After our trip down the mountain we ended listening to sublime. I have ask one the girls if she thought the vocals voic e was sexy? She said he has a nice voice. Then I decided to ask the other girl but I mistakely called her Brad. Then the both of started to laugh heavily. The guy who is vocals for sublime name is Bradly. I don't know why, I said brad? Later on, I remembered &n bsp;that she had a crush on a guy name Brad. Thats why the both of them were laughing. It did'n t end up being a good nite the movie we wanted to see we did'nt see. I was seen by-coworker with another co-worker and when I go back to work on Sunday alot of guys are going to ask me? What is going on between me and her. Nothing is happening between us. But guys minds just drift from here to there. I am going to have to deal with a lot of criticism at work. Which I want to avoid. Therefore things will just have to get harsh for a few weeks? Untill something else pops up at work for everyone else to talk about. That is sad part about working with mostly guys rumors start that people add to rumors then next you know you married to the girl? Which I will never allow to happen.

| GOP convention and the unveiling of Zarqawi |
| 08.28.04 (5:02 pm) [edit] |
At the gop the republicans will announce the capture of Iraq most wanted man Abu Musab Zarqawi. If this is true the repulbicans will use this card to great advantage. This news was found on an al-jazerra website. But the American media has not followed up on the story. Maybe the American media was instructed by the bush people not to air the Zarqawi story if it is is true. The republicans would rather announce the capture of Zarqawi at the convention. This would create a big bounce at republican convention for the war on terror platform. However Zarqawi is a middle guy, he is not as big as osama, But the repulbicans will inflate Zarqawi image as if he is a person of significant importance in the war on terror.
Zarqawi has taken claim for the UN bombing in Iraq, sucide bombings againist the iraqi people along with attacks on US soliders. The beheading of Nick Berg. If Zarqawi capture is true? Then the gop has a trump card at the convention. However Zarqawi has a deputy that will replace him. When this happens America will be back at fighting the same chess match but with a new player. That new player will be Zarqawi replacement?
The report claimed that the man was captured during a joint operation by U.S. occupation forces and Iraqi police, Al Siyasah newspaper, quoting Iraqi sources, said Friday.
It also said that the suspect was caught in a white shirt and jeans, and he gave no resistance when he realized his hideout was besieged, according to Iraqi police.
The U.S. and Iraqi investigators are trying to identify the captive and has sent his DNA sample for testing, the unconfirmed report indicated.
Zarqawi is the most wanted suspect in Iraq and has a U.S. bounty of $25 million on his head. http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-bin/news_service/ middle_east_full_story.asp?service_id=2955" title="http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-bin/news_service/ middle_east_full_story.asp?service_id=2955" target="_blank"http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-...

| NAFTA canadian drugs or mexican trucks. |
| 08.27.04 (1:38 pm) [edit] |
Why is the governmet trying to stop the canadian drugs from going over the border. Becuase the Canadian drugs cannot be deemed safe for the American consumer. But yet the mexican truck drivers can crossover into American with unsafe trucks, The mexican standard for the rigs are not as strict as the American standards.
The drugs companies stand the most to lose if purchaseing of canadian drugs become legal. The drugs companies have donated " $44 million in Drug Company donations to Republicans since 2000 Return: $139 billion in additional Drug Company profits over 8 years Percent Return: 315,900% " http://billionairesforbus h.com/candidate_medicare.php" title="http://billionairesforbus h.com/candidate_medicare.php" target="_blank"http://billionairesforbus h.co...
The government wants the people to insure the american drug companies make money. There excuse if canadian drugs are not safe.
But yet the unsafe mexican truck drivers, are free to do what they want.
• Drug and human trafficking are expected to spike to unprecedented levels once the trucks begin to roll. This administration has yet to address how a more relaxed trucking policy will affect the flow of contraband and illegal immigration into the U.S.
What about the terrorist they could hitch a ride to america through the mexican truck pipeline.
• Safety concerns and, more recently, environmental issues have been the pretext for discriminatory practices towards the Mexican shipping industry. http://www.americas.org/item_15874" title="http://www.americas.org/item_15874" target="_blank"http://www.americas.org/item_...

| The unknown aftermath of charile in Florida |
| 08.26.04 (9:58 pm) [edit] |
Well it appears that the GOP is back to its tricks again in Forida. The state police in florida haveing been going to elderly black people's home, and interrogateing them for voter fraud in the orlando mayoral race, "The officers, from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which reports to Gov. Jeb Bush, say they are investigating allegations of voter fraud that came up during the Orlando mayoral election in March.
State police officers have gone into the homes of elderly black voters in Orlando and interrogated them as part of an odd "investigation" that has frightened many voters, intimidated elderly volunteers and thrown a chill over efforts to get out the black vote in November. Officials refused to discuss details of the investigation, other than to say that absentee ballots are involved. They said they had no idea when the investigation might end, and acknowledged that it may continue right through the presidential election.
"We did a preliminary inquiry into those allegations and then we concluded that there was enough evidence to follow through with a full criminal investigation," said Geo Morales, a spokesman for the Department of Law Enforcement.
The state police officers, armed and in plain clothes, have questioned dozens of voters in their homes. Some of those questioned have been volunteers in get-out-the-vote campaigns." http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/0" title="http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/0" target="_blank"http://www.spiegel.de/politik...,1518,druck-313458,00.html
Not surprisingly, many of the elderly black voters who found themselves face to face with state police officers in Orlando are members of the Orlando League of Voters, which has been very successful in mobilizing the city's black vote.
Florida is a state that's very much in play in the presidential election, with some polls showing John Kerry in the lead. A heavy-handed state police investigation that throws a blanket of fear over thousands of black voters can only help President Bush.
The long and ugly tradition of suppressing the black vote is alive and thriving in the Sunshine State ( aka the whites only vote state )

| Number of Americans living in poverty growing |
| 08.26.04 (4:15 pm) [edit] |
Has the American economy really been good. Well according to the cenus bureau, "3 million more Americans in poverty. Ranks of uninsured grow by 1.4 million, Census Bureau says" Now according to bush America has turned a corner but what corner did America turn if more American people are living in poverty, also there are new additions to the growing uninsured Americans. "The number of people living in poverty rose by 1.3 million to 35.9 million people, or 12.5 percent of the population, up from 12.1 percent in 2002. the Census Bureau said the number of Americans without health insurance coverage rose to 45 million or 15.6 percent of the population, up 1.4 million from 2002, when 15.2 percent of the population was uninsured "
"The center's analysis of the census figures found that the number of people living in extreme poverty, with incomes of less than half the poverty threshold, jumped by by 1.2 million to 15.3 million people. And the group said the share of national income going to the bottom 20 percent of the population fell to the lowest level since the government began collecting the data in 1967." I wonder how are American citzens living in the year 2004 on 1967 wages? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5829707/" title="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5829707/" target="_blank"http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5...

The president who claims to be a uniter and not a divider is true. He has divided America, and united the most of the arab people. The arabs are united againist American policy.
According to a recent Zogby International poll of 2,586 people in five Islamic countries and survey data from noted Middle East scholar Shibley Telhami:
* Almost 100 percent of Egyptians have an unfavorable view of the United States compared with 76 percent in 2002.
* In Morocco, the number viewing the United States unfavorably has jumped from 61 percent in 2002 to 88 percent.
* In Saudi Arabia, the number rose from 87 percent in 2002 to 94 percent.
But perhaps most telling was the No. 4 name on the list of most admired world leaders in Telhami's survey: Osama bin Laden. http://www.detnews.com/2004/nation/0408/15/a 12-242291.htm" title="http://www.detnews.com/2004/nation/0408/15/a 12-242291.htm" target="_blank"http://www.detnews.com/2004/n...

| 08.22.04 (5:05 pm) [edit] |
Overtime rules go into effect on April 23, 2004. Once agian another bad decision by the administration. But will the millions of peope who like receiv eing overtime pay vote, and will they vote bush out of office. Becuase bush took away there overtime pay.
"Many working families depend on overtime to pay bills—especially during the current economic recession that has resulted in stagnant and declining wages coupled with increasing costs of health care, prescription drugs, child care and other essentials. The Bush overtime pay take-away would cut into many of these families’ paychecks." http://www.saveovertimepay.org/bushproposal.htm" title="http://www.saveovertimepay.org/bushproposal.htm" target="_blank"http://www.saveovertimepay.or...
Job that are affected are found at this link http://www.epinet.org/content.cfm/webfeatures_viewpoint s_final_overtime_regulati ons" title="http://www.epinet.org/content.cfm/webfeatures_viewpoint s_final_overtime_regulati ons" target="_blank"http://www.epinet.org/content...House Republicans Refuse to Allow Debate or Vote on Overtime Pay Rules
May 12—House Republicans today refused to allow a debate or vote on a motion that would protect overtime pay for workers who stand to lose their overtime pay under new rules issued last month by the Bush administration. Unless Congress acts or President Bush backs down, the regulations will go into effect Aug. 23. The 222–205 party-line vote came on a motion by Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) to instruct U.S. House of Representative members of a House–Senate conference committee on the fiscal year 2004 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations bill to report out an amendment blocking any portion of the Bush administration’s final overtime regulation that takes away overtime pay rights from workers who qualify under current rules. Only two Republicans voted against tabling the motion. The U.S. Senate last week passed a similar amendment by Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa). However, House GOP leaders are expected to try and delay any vote on the Harkin amendment until after the Bush administration regulations take effect. As a result, “the vote on the Miller motion to instruct may be the only chance for the House to support the Senate overtime amendments and guarantee that workers will not lose their overtime rights,” the AFL-CIO said in a May 11 letter to House members. The Harkin amendment, which was attached to the Foreign Sales Corporation tax bill (S. 1627), allows updates to the Fair Labor Standards Act’s (FLSA’s) rules that govern overtime eligibility but ensures no currently eligible workers lose their overtime pay and lets stand any provision that actually expands overtime eligibility. It also applies retroactively. If the Bush overtime take-away goes into effect before the legislative process is finalized, the Harkin amendment would halt the overtime pay grab. For weeks, the White House has conducted an intense spin operation that tried to paint the new provisions of the FLSA as an expansion of overtime eligibility that would not cost workers their overtime pay rights http://www.aflcio.org/yourjobeconomy/overti mepay/ns05122004.cfm" title="http://www.aflcio.org/yourjobeconomy/overti mepay/ns05122004.cfm" target="_blank"http://www.aflcio.org/yourjob...

| The real enemy? |
| 08.21.04 (3:36 pm) [edit] |
Some republican policies that have hurt America.
"The American people need to know we're facing a different enemy than we've ever faced. This enemy hides in shadows and has no regard for human life. This is an enemy who preys on innocent and unsuspecting people, then runs for cover. But it won't be able to run to for cover forever" Bush speech on terror. But look at the polices set forth by the republicans. http://www.cbc.ca/cgi-bin/templates/view .cgi?/news/2001/09/12/bush 010912" title="http://www.cbc.ca/cgi-bin/templates/view .cgi?/news/2001/09/12/bush 010912" target="_blank"http://www.cbc.ca/cgi-bin/tem... The Republican budget raises taxes on the working poor and slashes taxes for the richest Americans. While many poor families suffer from anemic job growth and stagnant wages, the Bush administration and congressional Republicans want to raise taxes and reduce benefits for the working poor - including military families and veterans - by cutting the Earned Income Tax Credit. At the same time, conservatives are seeking to permanently repeal taxes on massive inherited wealth and unearned income for its wealthy benefactors. The Republican budget cuts domestic spending by $113 billion over the next five years to pay for permanent tax cuts for the wealthy. Massive tax cuts don't come cheap, and millions of Americans will be forced to deal with cuts in education, health care, veterans benefits, housing, environmental protection, and child care all to pay for substantial handouts to the rich.

| Iraqi Olympians denounce Bush |
| 08.20.04 (8:22 pm) [edit] |
The Iraqi soccer team appear to be some what mad at Bush. The soccer team is mad becuase Bush used the soccer team in political ads without asking the iraqi soccer team if they wanted to be in a politiccal ad.
“Iraq as a team does not want Mr. Bush to use us for the presidential campaign,” said midfielder Salih Sadir. “He can find another way to advertise himself"
Sadir was angered at Mr. Bush’s adverts, which show pictures of the Afghan and Iraqi flags with the words: “At this Olympics there will be two more free nations – and two fewer terrorist regimes.”
“We don’t wish for the presence of Americans in our country. We want them to go away,” said Sadir, aged 21, whose home town of Najaf has been demolished by the war.
Another star player, Ahmed Manajid, aged 22, said of Mr. Bush: “How will he meet his god having slaughtered so many men and women? He has committed so many crimes.”
In an interview with the U.S. magazine Sports Illustrated, the team coach Adnan Hamad spoke of the ongoing violence in his homeland.
“My problems are not with the American people. They are with what America has done in Iraq: destroy everything.
“The American army has killed so many people in Iraq. What is freedom when I go to the stadium and there are shootings on the road?” http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-bin/news_service/ middle_east_full_story.asp?service_id=3148" title="http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-bin/news_service/ middle_east_full_story.asp?service_id=3148" target="_blank"http://www.aljazeera.com/cgi-...
Once again the president of the United States does what ever he wants as long as it benifits him and his supporters. This time it is not american citzens who are mad at his deceptive tactics, its the iraqi soccer team who is outraged.

| Dick Cheney a penguin disguised as a hawk. |
| 08.18.04 (5:55 pm) [edit] |
The Penguin has been going all over country giveing speechs at military bases. Telling the soliders you are protecting freedom. But who's freedom are they really protecting. The chicken hawks and the lead chicken Dick Cheney ( Penguin ). Cheny had the oppurtunity to serve in Vietnam. The penguin could of volunteered for service but the penguin said this. "Dick Cheney, who famously explained, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service." http://www.oz.net/" title="http://www.oz.net/" target="_blank"http://www.oz.net/~vvawai/general/Chickenha wks-Crow-for-War.html Then there was a draft what did the penguin do he got five draft deferments.
"It was 1959 when Dick Cheney, then a student at Yale University, turned 18 and became eligible for the draft.
Eventually, like 16 million other young men of that era, Mr. Cheney sought deferments. By the time he turned 26 in January 1967 and was no longer eligible for the draft, he had asked for and received five deferments, four because he was a student and one for being a new father." http://hnn.us/blogs/entries/4983.html" title="http://hnn.us/blogs/entries/4983.html" target="_blank"http://hnn.us/blogs/entries/4...
On Oct. 6, 1965, the Selective Service lifted its ban against drafting married men who had no children. Nine months and two days later, Mr. Cheney's first daughter, Elizabeth, was born."
In February 1962, when Mr. Cheney was classified as 1-A available for service he was doing poorly at Yale. But the military was taking only older men at that point, and like others who were in college at the time, Mr. Cheney seemed to have little concern about being drafted.
In June, he left Yale. After returning home to Casper, a small city in east-central Wyoming, he worked as a lineman for a power company. At that point, the Vietnam War was still just a glimmer on the horizon. In 1962, only 82,060 men were inducted into the service, the fewest since 1949. Mr. Cheney was eligible for the draft but, as he said during his confirmation hearings in 1989, he was not called up because the Selective Service System was taking only older men. But by 1963, ferment in Vietnam was rising. Mr. Cheney enrolled in Casper Community College in January 1963 he turned 22 that month and sought his first student deferment on March 20, according to records from the Selective Service System. After transferring to the University of Wyoming at Laramie, he sought his second student deferment on July 23, 1963. On Aug. 7, 1964, Congress approved the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, which allowed President Lyndon B. Johnson to use unlimited military force in Vietnam. The war escalated rapidly from there. Just 22 days later, Mr. Cheney married his high school sweetheart, Lynne. He sought his third student deferment on Oct. 14, 1964. In May 1965, Mr. Cheney graduated from college and his draft status changed to 1-A. But he was married, which offered him some protection. In July, President Johnson announced that he was doubling the number of men drafted. The number of inductions soared, to 382,010 in 1966 from 230,991 in 1965 and 112,386 in 1964. Mr. Cheney obtained his fourth deferment when he started graduate school at the University of Wyoming on Nov. 1, 1965. On Oct. 6, 1965, the Selective Service lifted its ban against drafting married men who had no children. Nine months and two days later, Mr. Cheney's first daughter, Elizabeth, was born. On Jan. 19, 1966, when his wife was about 10 weeks pregnant, Mr. Cheney applied for 3-A status, the "hardship" exemption, which excluded men with children or dependent parents. It was granted. In January 1967, Mr. Cheney turned 26 and was no longer eligible for the draft. http://www.rense.com/general52/chenn.htm" title="http://www.rense.com/general52/chenn.htm" target="_blank"http://www.rense.com/general5...

Today it was hot and humid. The temperature was 89 degrees. But felt more like 100 degrees. Then it started to rain. Cool rain water on me on a hot day would have felt good? I decided to go into the rain. Which I found out was a bad idea. The rain water was not cool, it was warm. It felt more like takeing a shower in warmwater. The pavement was so hot that steam was created when rain water came into contact with it. Can't escape the humid weather.

| Bush the education president? |
| 08.17.04 (5:45 pm) [edit] |
What ever happened to the no-child left behind act? Bush has done this for education in America.
Freezes maximum Pell Grant. Despite rising college costs, President Bush freezes the maximum Pell Grant at $4,050. This is a third year in a row that the President has frozen or cut the maximum Pell Grant. While campaigning in 2000, President Bush pledged to make college more affordable and accessible by increasing the maximum Pell Grant for freshmen to $5,100, but he has yet to make good on his promise.
Freezes or cuts college loans and work-study. The Bush budget cuts funding for Perkins Loans by $100 million. It also freezes or eliminates funding for campus-based student aid programs, resulting in the loss of grants, work-study, and loans to about 78,000 students. This year, tuition at state universities increased nationwide by as much as 40 percent in some states.
Cuts $316 million from vocational education and community colleges. The Bush budget cuts $316 million – a 25 percent reduction – from vocational education and community colleges. This new round of cuts is in addition to more than $1.5 billion in proposed cuts to job training and vocational education programs since he took office.
Makes college loans more expensive. The Bush budget requires student loan guaranty agencies to collect a one-percent insurance premium from students beginning this year, costing students $4.0 billion over 10 years.
Eliminates state college scholarships program, and risks $1 billion in non-federal Student Aid. The Bush budget eliminates the $66 million Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnerships (LEAP) initiative, which encourages states to establish college scholarships for college students. In 2001-2002, the federal investment in LEAP leveraged more than $1 billion in matching state spending.
Cuts programs that boost college opportunities for students and veterans. The Bush budget freezes GEAR UP and TRIO funding – programs that boost opportunities for veterans, the disadvantaged, and first generation college students to earn a college degree. The President's freeze severely handicaps TRIO – which currently serves only 7 percent of all eligible students and veterans due to inadequate funding.
Places student aid program operations at risk. The Bush budget puts stable student aid administrative funds at risk by subjecting them to an annual appropriation. This proposed change would force administrative funding to compete against Pell grants and other higher education priorities for resources, and would jeopardize the ability of the Education Department to administer the student aid programs safely and soundly.
Freezes youth job training programs. Despite the weak job market and the enormous need for job training programs, the Bush budget freezes funding for youth job training programs. The budget provides $2.6 billion for youth job training, a $26 million (1.0 percent) increase over the FY 2004 enacted level. http://www.housedemocrats.gov/news/librarydetail.cfm?library_content_id=15 7" title="http://www.housedemocrats.gov/news/librarydetail.cfm?library_content_id=15 7" target="_blank"http://www.housedemocrats.gov...
These polices, I veiw as oppresive. The wealthly make it alot harder someone to get a college education. While the children of wealthy don' t have to worry about paying the college tuition. The children of wealthly will get there college education. This is required becuase they are destined to replace their parents postion in the social order or what the conservatives say ( The New World Order ). While the poor working American child struggles to obtain a college education. To better themselves with a college degree. If wealthly make things hard for you are more likely to surcome to the idea of that your place in the New World Order is not to get a college education, you are peon in a big pond. Your job is to follow the orders of the policy makers. & nbsp;

| How little Bush protects big bush |
| 08.17.04 (8:13 am) [edit] |
Bush jr has signed by executive order 13233, overriding the 1978 Presidential Records Act. Why jr want to do this? The presidential records act. The Act provided that a president's papers will be made available to the public 12 years after he leaves office. The new executive order adds a wrinkle to the old rule by current and former presidents the right to delay publication of their papers beyond the 12-year limit.
Make no mistake about it. Junior is doing this to look out for Daddy, who has a few skeletons in his closet, most notably his famous ''out of the loop'' assertion that was challenged by Special Prosecutor Lawrence Walsh in the late days of a hotly contested campaign that was ultimately won by Bill Clinton. Clearly there is a feeling that the Reagan presidential papers are best left buried deep, at least for a little while longer, and with the new Executive Order Bush junior has provided the shovel to do the job. http://www.singmind.com/singleminded/200201/s ecrets.htm" title="http://www.singmind.com/singleminded/200201/s ecrets.htm" target="_blank"http://www.singmind.com/singl...
I wondering what kind of decisions Bush Sr did while the president of U.S. in the early 1990's. The son has used executive order to prevent Sr president's paper's from being release? 12 years have already past, should,nt the people be infrom on what type of non publicizes decisions their president made 12 years ago.

| Bush Outlaws Algebra by Executive Order |
| 08.17.04 (7:59 am) [edit] |
This is a crazy Exectutive order. If algebra is outlawed how does the bush pollesters do polls? I think you need more than just basic math such as adding and subtracting to get the results of a poll.
WASHINGTON, DC--Saying it encourages the kind of spurious logic that allows people to believe that if your against war you're not necessarily for the terrorists (or that you're not necessarily with or against America), President George W. Bush today signed an executive order which subjects algebra users not only to arrest and prosecution, but possible revocation of citizenship and deportation or indefinite imprisonment with no rights to due process.
The signing of the Executive Order was widely hailed as a victory by males aged 12 to 22. Women in the same age group were divided on the issue.
"xz = xy(-z)? What does that mean? " Bush told the Washington Press corps. Using algebra shall henceforth be considered supporting terrorism, Bush said. "Math which simply uses numbers to support moral relativism is junk math. It belongs in the dust bin of history, along with the theory of evolution and global warming."
When one reporter asked how weapons could be engineered without algebra, the president, after carefully considering the question said, "Look, Jesus didn't need algebra and neither do I. And the American people, too."
After the press conference the reporter was heard to remark, "Jesus didn't need F-18's and thermonuclear warheads either. I can't help wondering if this is somehow personal for him. Yeah, well anyway, good luck landing Air Force One."
Indeed, speculation was rampant on Capital Hill that there may have been some personal motivation to issue the order. Reportedly math and math related subjects were among the president's poorest in high school and college. "It's hard to believe math could have been that much trouble for him," said one source, on condition of anonymity, "when you consider his flair for the English language." http://www.brokennewz.com/weekend/bushalgebra.asp" title="http://www.brokennewz.com/weekend/bushalgebra.asp" target="_blank"http://www.brokennewz.com/wee...

| Bush to relocate troops to U.S> |
| 08.16.04 (4:01 pm) [edit] |
President Bush has decided to re-deploy 70,000 U.S. troops to the U.S. mainland.
CINCINNATI, Ohio (CNN) -- Promising "a more agile and more flexible force," President Bush announced on Monday a major realignment of U.S. forces around the world.
Bush said about 60,000 to 70,000 uniformed personnel would move from overseas to posts in the United States over the next decade. The move would also involve about 100,000 family members and civilian employees, Bush said.
"The new plan will help us fight and win these wars of the 21st century," Bush said in a speech before a convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
In Germany, the two divisions that will return are the Army's 1st Armored Division and 1st Infantry Division. That shift is not expected to take place before 2006.
The "heavy" divisions, each with 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers, will be replaced by a smaller, lighter and more mobile brigade equipped with the Army's new Stryker armored vehicles. A brigade has 3,000 to 5,000 troops
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/1 6/bush.troops.home/index.html" title="http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/1 6/bush.troops.home/index.html" target="_blank"http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPO...
This plan will help us fight and win these wars of the 21st century. What kind of wars does Bush mean? The war on terror. When Bush says, "these wars of the 21st centruy" how many wars does bush mean? Why would heavy divison be brought back to America and be replaced with smaller divisions? Bus h is planning something. Heavy divisons are the backbone of any invasion force. What country does bush plan to invade near america. Canada, Mexico, or amer ica itself. So within America there will be the following forces minus 160,000 troops station in Iraq and Afghan theaters.
Sixteen of the U.S. Army's 33 active-duty combat brigades are in Iraq; another two are in Afghanistan; two more are in Korea; one more is in the Balkans http://www.brookings.edu/views/op-ed/ohanlon/2 0030804.htm" title="http://www.brookings.edu/views/op-ed/ohanlon/2 0030804.htm" target="_blank"http://www.brookings.edu/view...
Current Force Structure and Assumptions About Employing Forces The active component of the Army contains about 300,000 military personnel in deployable units, about half of whom are organized into maneuver units (10 divi-sions, with 33 brigade combat teams). The other half are assigned to various corps- and theater-level support units (see Table 4).7 The Army’s reserve component has about 470,000 military personnel in deployable units. Of those, about one-third are organized into maneuver units (8 divisions, with about 36 brigade combat teams), and the other two-thirds serve in corps- and theater-level support units.
The Marine Corps’s active component contains about 170,000 military personnel in deployable units, who are organized into three divisions (with eight infantry regiments, the equivalent of Army brigades), three air wings, and three support groups.8 The reserve component of the Marine Corps has about 35,000 military personnel, organized into a division (with three infantry regiments), an air wing, and a support group. In examining the occupation of Iraq, CBO used brigade-sized maneuver units—brigade combat teams (BCTs) for the Army and Marine expeditionary brigades (MEBs) for the Marine Corps—as the primary unit of analysis.9 The Army has employed brigade-sized forces in peacekeeping operations over the past decade, and most Army and Marine Corps commitments can be measured by the number of brigades employed. http://www.therant.info/archive/001665.html" title="http://www.therant.info/archive/001665.html" target="_blank"http://www.therant.info/archi... Total National Guard troop strength is about 460,000. Who does Bush plan to make war, near America or with in America? This is alot of military firepower concentreted within America.

| Bush's Flip Flop on Fallujuh |
| 08.15.04 (9:20 pm) [edit] |
The war president with his war rhetoric. President Bush on Friday marked the anniversary of the start of the war on Iraq with a White House speech calling for U.S. allies to keep up the fight there and the wider battle against terrorism.
"Each of us has pledged before the world: We will never bow to the violence of a few," the president said to an audience of ambassadors. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/18/ir aq/main607160.shtml" title="http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/18/ir aq/main607160.shtml" target="_blank"http://www.cbsnews.com/storie...
This speech was given by Bush on March 19, 2004.
But what happened to American policy in Fallujuh. The enemy was fighting back, ( as if they had nothing to lose and everything to gain) American deaths numbered over 100 in that month alone. "The American deaths raise to 126 the number of U.S. troops killed in combat in April, the bloodiest month for U.S. forces in Iraq" http://www.eagletribune.com/news/stories/20040429 /FP_001.htm" title="http://www.eagletribune.com/news/stories/20040429 /FP_001.htm" target="_blank"http://www.eagletribune.com/n...
The decision by the Bush administration and the Pentagon to pull back the Marines besieging the city of Fallujah is a devastating setback for the US occupation regime in Iraq. Faced with the prospect of house-to-house combat against an insurgency rooted in the city, the US government apparently decided that the cost of retaking the city, both militarily and politically, was too great. April 29,2004. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/may2004 /fall-m04.shtml" title="http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/may2004 /fall-m04.shtml" target="_blank"http://www.wsws.org/articles/...
What ever happen to the speech "We will never bow to the violence of the few." ( Bush 3/19/2004 ) This is a flip flop. To tell the world that America will not bow to the violence of the few on March 19, 2004. Then 31 days later tell the world America will stop its offensive in Fallujuh. Becuase the cost militarily and politically was too great. Bush told the world we must not give in to the demands of terrorrist. President Bush told the White House audience, 'There is no neutral ground in the fight between civilization and terror.
April 28 saw the last 260 of Spain’s 1,300 combat soldiers finally leave Iraq nearly two weeks ahead of schedule. Prime Minister Jose Zapatero announced the pull-out on April 18. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/may2004 /spai-m08.shtml" title="http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/may2004 /spai-m08.shtml" target="_blank"http://www.wsws.org/articles/...
Look at the dates from when the American military annouced its pullback from Fallujuh, and the date that the spanish troops would leave Iraq. The Amer ican military annouces it decision one day after Spain statement. Maybe this decision was deliberate to hide the adminstration flip flop on Fallujuh? America tells the world that spain pulls it troops out of Iraq. While the U.S. military withdraws its troops from Fallujuh. This is a very good misdirection play. Blame the spainish, for giveing in to terrorrist demands. While at the same time the American military leaves fallujuh. FLIP FLOP

| Bush wants to cut combat pay for soliders in Iraq. |
| 08.15.04 (4:27 pm) [edit] |
The war president was going to cut combat pay for U.S. soliders in Iraq.
The White House quickly backpedaled Thursday on Pentagon plans to cut the combat pay of the 157,000 U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan after disclosure of the idea quickly became a political embarrassment.
The Pentagon's support for the idea of rolling back "imminent danger pay" by $75 a month and "family separation allowances" for the American forces by $150 a month collapsed after a story in The Chronicle Thursday generated intense criticism from military families, veterans groups and Democratic candidates seeking to unseat President Bush in 2004. http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0815-09.htm" title="http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0815-09.htm" target="_blank"http://www.commondreams.org/h...
Why would the president cut combat pay for the soliders in Iraq? There is not enough federal funds, because of the bush tax cuts for the rich.
This is the president, who tells the public to support the troops in Iraq. Then through backdoor manipulatio n. The president wants to cut combat pay for soliders. This is a president of hypocrisy. George W Bush = The Great Deciver.

THINGS YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TO BE A REPUBLICAN TODAY:
Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.
Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.
A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.
Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.
The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.
If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.
HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.
Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.
Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.
The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's cocaine conviction is none of our business.
Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness, and you need our prayers for your recovery.
You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have the right to adopt.
What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=155323" title="http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=155323" target="_blank"http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs...

| Scariest White Guys in America |
| 08.14.04 (11:10 pm) [edit] |
Characteristics of Scary White Guys (SWGs)
What are the characteristics of this rare breed, the scary white guy? At a minimum, the SWG has some or all of these characteristics:
He is a bully who uses intimidation as a regular tactic. He is destructive, in that he kills possibilities and destroys human aspirations. He is self-centered, egocentric and selfish. He is an exploiter, employing his power to the greatest possible advantage. He is greedy in that he seeks more than he could possibly need. He is a denier who refuses to acknowledge disagreeable realities. He is corrupt, dishonest, bending the rules for personal or political gain. He is a scapegoater, adept at pitting people against each other and blaming victims for their suffering.
Ultimately, Scary Power is the ability to control the public narrative to frame messages: globalization benefits all; environmentalists created the energy shortage; fair trade is a wishful dream. The scary guys' control of the narrative also discourages action, isolates people from one another and turns them off to engagement in public life. It breeds cynicism, hopelessness and apathy.
The characteristics above blend into various roles as SWGs form teams and alliances. Guys like Ronald Reagan carry the water for SWGs operating behind the scenes. George W. Bush, with his ah-shucks style, plays the enabler for friends like Kenneth Lay, chairman of the Houston-based Enron Corporation, as they make their financial killings. Some are the hit men, a role that Vice President Cheney plays to take the heat off of his partner. Others, like New Jersey Senator Robert Torricelli, are just smart, aggressive bullies who steamroll the opposition through sheer ambition.
Bush-Cheney, Co-Presidents of the U.S.
It's impossible to separate these two SWGs. As the new joke goes, "Have you heard the one about the need to protect Bush? He's just a heartbeat away from the Presidency."
On the campaign trail a year ago, George W. Bush said, "As we use nature's gifts, we must do so wisely. Prosperity will mean little if we leave future generations a world of polluted air, toxic lakes and rivers, and vanished forests." Texas, meanwhile, had the most toxic air emissions and cancer-causing pollution in the country. Can anyone say doubletalk?
Bush's environmental pledges exemplify a tool used very often by SWGs, the Big Lie. A clever rhetorical device, the Big Lie operates on the principle that if you make knowingly false assertions with enough conviction, and repeated them constantly, those with their hands on the truth are put on the defensive. Regulations about carbon dioxide emissions, worker's protection laws, drilling for oil in Alaska, building roads in the national forest -- these attacks on health and the environment all depend on Big Lies.
As Bush spouts doubletalk to the hoodwinked press, Cheney pulls the strings behind the scene. Cheney, who was paid $36 million by Halliburton oil company the last year he worked there, recently advocated for building a new power plant every week for 20 years in order to meet our energy needs. "Conservation may be a sign of personal virtue," he said, "but not a sufficient basis for sound comprehensive energy policy." Yeah, tell that to the scientists from five national science labs whose three-year study concluded that a "government-led conservation program could cut growth in energy consumption in half, using proven technology already in place."
As columnist Robert Scheer writes, "Why beat around the Bush? Surrogate president Dick Cheney is behaving like an oil-guzzling, intellectually irresponsible, anti-environmental oaf. To ignore scientific achievement on energy conservation is to lie to the American people about the dimensions of the problem. This is not leadership, it is fear-mongering that withholds ... sound scientific information in order to justify eviscerating conservation policy."
As for Dubya, well, we underestimate him as a moron at our peril. As Mark Crispin Miller writes in his new book "The Bush Dyslexicon," (W.W. Norton 2001) "our president is not an imbecile, but an operator just as canny as he is hard-hearted. At the nasty kind of politics, he is extraordinarily shrewd."
Rupert Murdoch, Media Mogul
Choosing the scariest media mogul was not easy. But transplanted Aussie Rupert Murdoch, head of the global News Corporation, gets the nod. Murdoch's voracious empire-building, his right-wing agenda, and his use of his media properties to achieve political gain set him apart. His tabloids in London, New York and Australia have repeatedly supported or undermined candidates, and his conservative Fox News channel helped get Bush declared the winner on election night. Last year, News Corp. gave $800,000 to U.S. candidates, with 70 percent going to Republicans.
Already owner of the Fox Network, Murdoch now intends to gain control of U.S. satellite TV to implement his vision of interactive television as the ultimate buying environment. The goal: to replace the Internet with high-speed satellite access to Murdoch's "walled garden," where subscribers would be limited to what his content machine has to offer.
Kenneth Lay, CEO of Enron
As head honcho of a leading Texas energy company, Kenneth Lay has aggressively championed the types of energy policies that have burdened California with rolling electrical blackouts. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Lay created a new kind of company as a result of deregulation victories, one that "essentially produces nothing, but makes money as a middle-man buying electricity from generators and selling it to consumers. During the first quarter of this year Enron revenues increased 281 percent to $50.1 billion."
Lay also represents the most extreme form of the pay-to-play corruption that dominates American politics. The largest of Bush's campaign contributors, his influence has reached unprecedented heights. According to The New York Times, he has even supplied Bush with candidates to regulate the power industry, and has threatened to have the head of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission removed if he opposes deregulation.
Tom Delay, House Majority Whip
Tom DeLay approaches regulations like the cockroaches he faced as an exterminator (his former career). It took Congress ten years to pass legislation protecting the 600,000 workers who develop repetitive stress injuries each year. It took Delay three months, and millions of big business dollars, to repeal it.
DeLay has worked tirelessly to gut the Clean Air Act. He's called the EPA "the Gestapo of government," and he thinks volcanoes cause global warming. Described in Rolling Stone as Bush's legislative muscleman, DeLay leads by "killing or neutering anything that deviates from right wing orthodoxy. DeLay's vision of America looks like Houston on a bad day: ruled by corporate fat cats, polluted, gridlocked, a place where progress is measured by the size of your SUV and freedom is defined by a choice of tee-off times."
Sandy Weill, Chairman of Citigroup
Greed is maybe more understandable in the world of finance. But when legendary dealmaker Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of Citigroup, bought Associates First Capital for 31 billion, he was basically saying there is no money too dirty for him. Associate First Capital is notorious in the field of predatory lending, which takes advantage of unsophisticated homeowners. It has been named in at least 700 lawsuits. As Martin Eakes, founder of Self-Help Credit Union, says, "It's simply unacceptable to have the largest bank in America take over the icon of predatory lending."
Citgroup engages in high-interest lending in low-income communities across the U.S., and has long been a target of protest because of its redlining practices. Citigroup is also financing some of today's greatest environmental horrors, like the destruction of Indonesian rain forests, the Chad-Cameroon oil pipeline and China's Three Gorges dam, which will displace two million people. "Sandy Weill is responsible for immense ecological and human disasters because Citigroup, as a huge global lender, finances so much destruction," says Shannon Wright, Communications Director at the Rain Forest Action Network.
Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense
As the bellicose head of the Defense Department, Donald Rumsfeld is in the position to do massive harm, as he aggressively pushes for a National Missile Defense (NMD) system -- a redux of the Star Wars boondoggle discredited way back in the Reagan days.
Let's be clear here -- such a missile defense system won't work, isn't needed and is hugely expensive. However, Rumsfeld needs to push it because it makes his friends and funders at Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon, TRW and the other defense companies very happy. (Those four have contributed $7 million to both political parties, spent $32.3 million lobbying, and -- surprise! -- have received NMD contracts to the tune of $2 billion per year. Nice return on the dollar.)
But Bush and Co. want a huge new system, which would include a space-based, laser-firing satellite system. The cost: $240 billion. That's pretty expensive for something that won't make us safer but will make defense contractors rich, at the expense of seniors, education, health care, the whole nine yards.
Lee R. Raymond, CEO of ExxonMobil
Raymond heads the world's third-largest corporation, which earned more than $17 billion in profits in 2000, exceeding many nations' revenues. So when Raymond questions whether global warming exists or if fossil fuels play any role in it, people shudder. Because ExxonMobil's attitudes and policies impact virtually everyone.
ExxonMobil carries the big club for the Neanderthal wing of the fossil fuel lobby. According to author Ross Gelspan, it is the only major oil company to deny climate change, using outdated, manipulated and unqualified information. British Petroleum, by contrast, has become the largest producer of solar energy systems in the world. Even Shell and Texaco have also made progress. ExxonMobil hasn't.
John Walters, Drug Czar
With John Walters as our new Drug Czar (backed by arch-conservative John Ashcroft as Attorney General), expect a marked escalation of the hugely unpopular drug war. While Canada is moving towards legalizing marijuana and six states have passed medical marijuana bills, Walters will likely head federal drug policy back into the stone age.
Walters thinks the racism of sentencing discrepency is an urban myth; is against drug treatment; advocates stiffer penalties against drug users; and despite untold billions of dollars spent achieving nothing, wholeheartedly supports the military wing of the drug war.
Joe Arpaio, Sheriff of Phoenix's Maricopa County Jail
Arpaio runs a jail for petty criminals with sentences of less than a year, many of whom have not yet gone to trial. Nevertheless, he boasts about heading one of most severe penal institutions in the U.S. He started the country's first female chain gang, giving women the choice of burying bodies in Phoenix's pauper cemetery or having 23 hours of lockdown.
The Feds sued Arpaio for using excessive force in 1997. In 1998, a U.S. Department of Justice consultant condemned the use of restraint chairs, pepper spray, alleged hog-tying and the use of "unprovoked" and "unjustified" force. But Sheriff Joe keeps on escalating. Last June, the Arizona Republic reported that he was putting dogs in the jail's few air-conditioned cells. As he told the paper, "It's too hot for the dogs over in the tents with the inmates." Arpaio spends 66 cents a day on food for each inmate, twice that for a dog. He is a constant propagandist, averaging a speech a day, and many consider him the most popular person in Arizona.
Robert Torricelli, New Jersey Senator
Democratic Senator Robert Torricelli demonstrates that moral bankruptcy and political corruption ignore party lines. Dubbed "The Torch" by his Washington colleagues, Torricelli has a reputation as a political hustler. He raised a record $103.5 million as head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. His bully rep among his colleagues was underscored when, in 1999, he exploded at his New Jersey Senate colleague Frank Lautenberg, "You're a fucking piece of shit. And I'm going to cut your balls off."
Hammered by a series of New York Times stories, and with Justice Department investigators breathing down his neck, the pugnacious Senator maintains his innocence against mounting corruption charges. He allegedly received ten custom-made Italian suits and an $8,100 Rolex watch, among other items, from a Chinese businessman who pled guilty to giving him $53,700 in illegal campaign contributions.
Rudy Giuliani, New York Mayor
Rudy Giuliani is the master scapegoater. His list of targets includes homeless people, graffiti artists, panhandlers and even guys who wash your windows at stoplights. But when Giuliani caught a whiff of pot after a political event, his wrath went into overdrive. "Bust those pot smokers!" he screamed, and arrests in New York went through the roof. By the end of 2000, 59,945 people had been arrested for pot, up 39 percent from 1999. In 1992, as DRCNet.org has reported, only 720 pot smokers were arrested in New York City. New York State decriminalized pot in the mid-1970s, a fact that Giuliani has ignored.
Giuliani's stop-and-frisk racial profiling approach has stirred up heat, with the Justice Department and the State Attorney General documenting abuse. His Operation Condor, which swept through neighborhoods and locked up thousands of people, mostly of color, deepened the wedge between citizens and the police.
Giuliani's attacks on arts institutions for exhibits he finds offensive are infamous, including his attempts to deny museums government funds. Though the courts threw out these efforts, he recently formed an advisory committee to develop decency standards -- a move that talk show host Jay Leno immediately labeled as fascist.

| scentific presidential poll results"unlike unscientific Aol poll results" |
| 08.12.04 (6:54 am) [edit] |
This post is a counter to deshanews unbelievalbe poll showing Bush winning close to the enitre country.
Deshanews poll, just the title Aol poll: Bush wins in landslide Unscientific survey indicates president collecting 48 states http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39932" title="http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39932" target="_blank"http://www.worldnetdaily.com/... Readers take note on the bold font.
Unscientific pseudo-polls are widespread and sometimes entertaining, if always quite meaningless. Examples include 900-number call-in polls, man-on-the-street surveys, most Internet polls, shopping mall polls,http://www.ncpp.org/qajsa.htm...; & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp;
The results below have been obtained by useing scientific methods of survey. Unlike deshanews unscientific aol poll results.
Wednesday August 11, 2004--For the second straight day, the Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows Senator John Kerry with 49% of the vote and President George W. Bush with 46%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.
Today is the first time in more than six months of daily polling that either candidate has reached the 49% mark on consecutive days. Since Senator Kerry wrapped up the Democratic nomination on Super Tuesday, he has now reached the 49% mark on four occasions. During that same time frame, President Bush has never exceeded 48% in our Tracking Poll. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking _Poll.htm" title="http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking _Poll.htm" target="_blank"http://www.rasmussenreports.c...
Now if you were to compare this poll with deshanews poll. Deshanews results were posted on August 12,2004. On day after the scientific poll results were released. August 11,2004.
This is what I want to compare. This is deshanews poll results "That's a total of just 13 electoral votes for Kerry, compared to 525 for Bush. The magic number of electoral votes to win the White House is 270 . " Now these are the results from sceintific poll
Now I don't know how within the peroid of 72 hours Bush gained 525 electoral votes. What happened to all those kerry supporters with a peroid of 72 hours? Did rapture occur and god took them to be with him? May be its just the difference between a scientific poll results and unscientific poll results?

This is my response to deshanews accusations. These responses are jesusisangry responses only. No ones else deshanews. So don't take my responses out of context and say its the resonses by the liberals.
You are the ones who would have been against going after Hitler in WW2. You would have said he wasn't directly affecting us, so who cares. You know this is the truth.
American was'nt ready for world two. America had to build it's military before it was ready to go to war.
04/11/1939 |
Although President Roosevelt has declared American neutrality in the war in Europe, a Neutrality Act is signed that allows the US to send arms and other aid to Britain and France |
30/05/1940 |
Roosevelt asks Congress for considerable funds to strengthen the US Armed forces |
12/10/1940 |
President Roosevelt in a fireside chat suggests the drafting of 18 and 19 year old men. |
15/10/1940 |
16 million Americans already registered for National Service. |
29/10/1940 |
Conscription begins in the U.S. It is the first military draft to occur during peacetime in American history |
This timeline shows that america is prepareing it's self for world war two. Nations do not go to war unprepared.

US budget includes $17,500,000,000 defence appropriation |
29/03/1941 |
After 2 months and 14 separate meetings, the US and British staff conference ends with a basic framework for US-British co-operation should the USA be drawn in to the war. Most importantly an agreement was made that Germany should be defeated first |
As you can see american has been in cotact with the Bristish Government. Discussing which of the axis powers should be defeated first.http://www.worldwar-2.net/tim...; Deshanews you need to familiiarize with world war two history.
When ever nations go to war nations have to prepare for war. This was done even in (bush jr's war ) war in iraq.
The US military is continuing to move men and equipment towards Iraq as the Bush administration signals that the time for diplomacy at the United Nations is fast running out. All the signs are that the military build-up could accelerate dramatically over the next few months if the US administration decides upon military action against Iraq.
Whatever may have been happening at the UN, the US military has been working to a pre-determined timeline - one that envisages a potential conflict with Iraq early in 2003http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/am...; I have just shown you two example of what is needed before nations go to war. One example is from world war two. The other is ( Bush jr's war ) iraq war.
As for this statement by you. You are the people who hated Reagan for telling the Russians to "tear down this wall". You are the ones who didn't think it was right to fight against Russians because you thought that th | |
